Job Purpose

Lead the technical team managing external partnerships that will help deliver the production L2.5 ADAS system. Help define the strategy and technical requirements for implementing ADAS features into the vehicle. Ensure technical interfaces with external teams are set up for success with adequate tracking of internal and external deliverables and KPI’s.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical relationships with strategic partners
  • Responsible for drafting detailed technical packages to be included in RFQ and RFI with external suppliers. Technical packages to include detailed requirements, program milestones and expected deliverables from Canoo and from the supplier
  • Creates and negotiates the technical requirements in the Statement Of Work (SOW) with selected suppliers
  • Support purchasing team to find define purchasing strategy and sourcing activities
  • Responsible for technical acceptance and validation of supplier deliverables
  • Responsible to watch and investigate new technologies available on the market
  • Provide technical program management excellence
  • Responsible for sensor algorithm supplier interfaces
  • Enable the overall system development by focusing on the augmented portion of the team
  • Ensure all product issues are identified, logged, tracked, and resolved during each testing phase
  • Effectively communicate with the rest of the organization when issues or failures arise

    Experience

    • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
    • High level of oral and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and able to manage and escalate issues to management
    • 3 years’ experience preferred
    • Experience leading technical teams
    • Experience with ADAS sensor technologies and software feature capabilities
    • Professional experience in ADAS or autonomous driving applications
    • Demonstrated performance in a position requiring engineering technical excellence
    • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
    • High level of oral and written communication skills
