Job Purpose

This role will support the homologation efforts for all Canoo electric vehicle programs and markets. You will work across all engineering disciplines, design studio, and test teams to provide guidance and ensure compliance with US, China, and European regulatory requirements to support the certification and launch of all Canoo programs. Supports other markets as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize the homologation requirements and documentation of Canoo programs for the target markets
  • Work closely and collaborate with the design and engineering teams to provide advice and direction by defining regulatory requirements
  • Clearly and effectively document compliance for the vehicle programs
  • Support Canoo’s interactions with NHTSA and other regulatory agencies
  • Interface with technical services and approval authorities to deliver certification for required markets
  • Monitor new global regulations and ensure team awareness and understanding

      Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other related field
      • 10+ years of experience delivering a full homologation program with direct management throughout all stages of the process
      • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry
      • Basic CATIA skills for part and zone requirement verification.
      • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
      • Able to simplify highly technical regulatory requirements to ensure understanding by all team members
      • Polarion and Jira knowledge
