Job Purpose

Develop ADAS future strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans for Canoo.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the following teams: algorithm development team, controls, driver monitoring system (DMS), sensor fusion, and R&D
  • Develop strategies for future ADAS feature development
  • Define ADAS roadmaps for Level 2+ and beyond
  • Develop key strategic partnerships with supplier and universities
  • Define and execute strategies for internal and external development
  • Grow team by attracting and maintaining talent for key competencies

      Required Experience

      • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
      • Minimum 3 years director level experience
      • High level of oral and written communication skills
      • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and able to manage and escalate issues to management
      • Experience leading technical teams
      • Experience managing supplier relationships with agile software development
      • Experience with ADAS sensor technologies and software feature capabilities
      • Professional experience in ADAS or autonomous driving applications
      • Demonstrated performance in a position requiring engineering technical excellence
      • Occasional travel required

      Preferred Experience

      • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
      • Automotive OEM experience
