Job Purpose

The Battery Cell Expert will work with the Cell Lab to evaluate samples from incoming shipments and new proposed products. They will also stay up to date on developing cell technologies and interact with suppliers to understand impacts. They must be able to communicate information and work with different teams in the company to understand cell capability needs.


  • Research and assess developing battery cell technologies
  • Evaluate new and existing cells for consistency and performance
  • Communicate results with internal and external parties
  • Work with suppliers to understand capabilities and limitations of products
  • Be hands-on with the cells and testing conducted


  • Masters in Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years working with battery and related topics
  • Prior experience working with cell cycling equipment (i.e. Arbin, AVL, Digatron, etc)
  • Background in data analysis and collection preferred
