Job Purpose

The Pack Design Engineer will help develop concepts for future products to take advantage of new developments. They will help to develop initial requirements and specifications for handing off to design release engineering team. Additional hands-on work will be required for evaluating new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop new concepts utilizing new manufacturing and product technologies
  • Create requirements and specifications for concepts to be advanced for production feasibility consideration
  • Work with internal teams to evaluate packaging and vehicle level requirements
  • Prepare comparisons and details about future battery pack configurations to aid in selection of development paths

Experience

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • 5+ years working on concept and requirements development
  • CAD experience required, CATIA V5/V6 preferred
  • Prior experience working with battery systems required
